Audemars Piguet History

Audemars Piguet was founded in 1875 by two friends, Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet. They started their company in Vallée de Joux, Switzerland.

Their primary focus, from the start was on crafting notch and intricate timepieces. One of their accomplishments involved creating a pocket watch featuring both a repeater and a chronograph to show their expertise to the world.

In 1921 Audemars Piguet achieved a milestone by producing the worlds jumping hour wristwatch. Then in 1972 they unveiled the Royal Oak. The luxury sports watch is crafted from steel. This distinct design gained popularity and remains an iconic piece to this day.

Presently Audemars Piguet is still overseen by its founding families. The company continues to be loved for its artistry, innovative concepts, and enduring creations.
