Description

Launched in 2024 as a harmonious blend of artistry, horological complexity, and star-powered exclusivity, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar ref. 26574BC "John Mayer" was designed in collaboration with the eponymous Grammy-winning musician and watch aficionado John Mayer. Launched as his first collaborative effort arising from his new role as AP's "Creative Conduit" role, this watch is a celebration of AP’s historical perpetual calendars.

Crafted in 18kt white gold, the watch's large 41mm case is adorned with the Royal Oak's iconic bezel and signature integrated bracelet, offering a modern and equally timeless silhouette. While its construction is luxurious, the ref. 26574BA's standout feature is its blue "crystal sky" dial. Inspired by the blue "Tuscan" hand-hammered dials found on rare Royal Oaks and a few other watches, almost all perpetual calendars, the ref. 26574BC's dial is a direct call-back to AP's heritage. However, in order to put a new spin on the design, AP instead decided to use a new technique instead of hand-hammering their dials. Stamped by an electroformed die and built up to create a crystalline structure before being PVD-coated, the ref. 26574BC is a wonderful combination of vintage-inspired aesthetics and modern watchmaking.

Bringing this modern watchmaking to life, the ref. 26574BC's perpetual calendar display showcases the day, date, month, moon phase, week number, and leap year with impeccable legibility, all powered by the extra-thin automatic cal. 5134 perpetual calendar movement, the perfect cherry on top of this exquisite timepiece.
