The dial features three separate registers: one for 1 second (in 1/100th increments), one for 20 seconds, and one for 10 minutes. The lightning-fast hand on the 1-second dial makes a full rotation every second—allowing precise, real-time measurement of incredibly short durations.

Yes, one of F.P. Journe’s innovations is the independent chronograph energy source, meaning activating the chronograph doesn’t affect timekeeping accuracy. This preserves the precision of both features simultaneously.
